MVP 2026
The Most Valuable Player Competition
Dear Ladies and Edelman members... and those of you still pretending you don't care.
Welcome to MVP 2026: the weekend's most important competition, second most important agenda item, and the third most important reason someone will wake up Sunday morning and say: "Who the hell approved this?"
MVP is not just a series of exercises. It's a social experiment disguised as sport, a slice of American football culture interpreted by a group of grown men with varying hamstring histories and far too much confidence in tights.
Everything that matters is tested here:
- Precision (when your hands are shaking)
- Strength (when it really just hurts)
- Strategy (when you think you are smart)
- Character (when you have power and nobody is watching)
You will get the chance to be the hero.
You will get the chance to be the snake.
And you will, with 99% probability, get at least one occasion to say: "This is rigged."
Tokens are the weekend's currency. They are your lifeline, your sabotage, your last resort, and your best alibi. Use them wisely, because you can't buy respect... but you can often buy another attempt.
And finally: Remember that MVP is never decided by a single event. It's decided by the sum of good choices, bad choices, and that one special moment when you think: "I'm going ALL IN."
The Secretariat has spoken.
The rules are written.
The beer is cold.
Destiny is warm.
Let's find out who is this year's MVP.
Core Principles
- MVP is a multi-part competition spanning the entire weekend, testing skills, precision, strategy, risk-taking, and social judgment.
- No single event (with the exception of the finale) can alone decide the MVP. It is the combined performance over time that determines the final result.
MVP Points (MVP-P)
- MVP Points (MVP-P) are used to rank participants. All events except the very first one award MVP-P based on fixed tables.
- Tiebreaker (in priority order):
- 1. Most event victories
- 2. Most tokens remaining
- 3. The Secretariat's judgment - let's hope it doesn't come to this
Tokens (TOK)
Tokens (TOK) are a strategic resource that can be used to influence execution, risk, and in some cases, other participants.
Tokens can be won, used, and lost throughout the weekend. Tokens never directly award MVP-P unless explicitly described under an ALL IN rule.
ALL IN rules are event-specific rules where a participant can go all-in. An ALL IN can only be used once per participant across the entire MVP competition, except in MVP 5 - The Gauntlet, which has its own ALL IN rules.
The Competitions
MVP 1 - Poker Tournament
Texas Hold'em - where alliances form, debts are written, and promises are never kept.
MVP 2 - Lars Ole's PjuPju Cowboy
Individual precision under pressure - the first pure skill test of MVP 2026.
MVP 3 - The Commissioner's Dilemma
Psychology, power, and group dynamics - one Arbiter, one Council, impossible choices.
MVP 4 - Dice Royale
Luck-based strategy where controlled chaos meets nerve and decision-making.
MVP 5 - Ladies and Edelman: The Gauntlet
The biggest and most comprehensive event - five sub-competitions culminating in flag football.
MVP 6 - The Prisoner's Playbook
The final strategic exercise before the finale - trust, betrayal, and long-term consequences.
MVP 7 - Finale: The Two-Minute Drill
The grand finale - where everything is decided.
