MVP 4 - Dice Royale
Purpose
Dice Royale is the MVP competition where luck is introduced in a controlled manner. The exercise tests how participants handle uncertainty, when they choose to push the limits, and when they choose to secure points.
The exercise is designed to create drama and conversation, but never decide the MVP on its own.
How It Works
Dice Royale is played according to classic Ladies & Edelman dice game rules with the Hønefoss Rule regarding showing and rolling.
The player whose turn it is bids a value and quantity of dice
The next player must either exceed in quantity at the same value, raise the value, or call bullshit
If a bullshit call is correct (the bid was a bluff), the bidder loses one die. If the bullshit call is wrong (the bid was true or exceeded), the caller loses one die. Play continues.
All players start with 4 dice
The player who loses a die must start the next bidding round
Special Rules
The Hønefoss Rule
The bidding player may choose to show a number of their dice, then re-roll the remaining dice in secret. The shown dice are not re-rolled.
